Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called upon domestic and international investors to participate in India’s rapidly expanding maritime sector, describing the nation as the “perfect harbour” for maritime investment.
In a detailed LinkedIn post, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s strategic location, modern port infrastructure, and innovation-driven approach as the pillars driving immense opportunities in ship-building, port operations, logistics, coastal shipping, and allied services.
He noted that with a coastline exceeding 7,500 km and a network of world-class, globally competitive ports, India is poised to become a leading maritime hub, offering connectivity, value-added services, green shipping solutions, and industry-friendly policy frameworks.
